SBK 3013- Principle in Biochemistry

The course discusses the chemical reactions in cells at the molecular level, which includes biomolecules, enzymes, metabolism of carbohydrate, as well as lipid, amino acids and nucleotides. The role of pH as a buffer for maintaining surrounding condition, enzyme characteristics and factors that influence its kinetics, catabolism and anabolism processes will be discussed together with their applications in life. Biochemical reactions in photosynthesis, aerobic and anaerobic metabolism will also be included.
